I get excited about all of my client work, but this project is a continuation of the Perfect Family Room Collaboration of 2015 and I'm hoping we can go two for two.
This is a billiard room, obviously, but it won't be in a basement as they usually are. It's going in their formal living room--a change I LOVE because who really uses a formal living room these days, anyway? Because it's going to be on the first floor, the room needs to blend with their existing decor while still giving her husband a bit of a man cave.
To get there, we plan to stick with the same blue and beige color scheme that's in the rest of the house, while also leaning into more rustic and industrial accents. I'm really digging the farmhouse pendants that will go above the table.
How do you use your formal living room (if you have one)? Did you leave it as a fancy space or switch it up? We made ours into a dining room and never looked back. Would you ever go unconventional like my clients?
